Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film famous for her performance in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16, Alexandra played the leading role in several TV dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. Additional Oscar nominated films featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's professional career has included work on a number of notable international and national projects. They include the British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon and many more. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
