Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. His parents are Manny James, and Patty James. He is the son of the Nigerian father and a Caucasian mother. James graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he earned the Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James was initially known by his character on The Bachelorette's reality star. In 2020 he got selected to be the next bachelor in season 25, making him the first African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James seemed to be the perfect match for the part because he has an attractive, well-rounded and an impressive height. Rachael Krukconnell turned into his lover at the conclusion of the season. In 2021 he partnered with famous dancer Arnold for the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James along with Arnold were ranked 12th.
